ALEXANDRA KOLB

*1969, in Germany

Alexandra Kolb studied Art History, Christian Archeology as well as International Cultural Studies and Languages at the University of Passau, Germany. 
After receiving her diploma, she went on to study Photography at the Art Center of Design Pasadena in Los Angeles
and at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City.
During her time in New York, she also assisted International fashion photographers, worked as a night printer at LTI Color Lab and 
started as an editor for German Condé Nast Publishing.

Back in Bavaria, she became a picture editor, booker and producer of artwork
for GERMAN VOGUE Magazine for almost 12 years.

Since 2017 she is an International photographer, artist and editor based in Munich.

Alexandra Kolb published the artist book “Japan is an island in my mind” in
2018 and the artist magazine “Close your eyes to see” in 2025.

She participated in studio visits and artist collaborations, like the FEMALE EYE in 2023, Munich
and Echo in 2024, Athens.
